My Hoover carpet cleaner will not turn on. I used it about 2 months ago and it ran fine; turned off and on fine. I went to turn it on today and nothing. I checked the outlet, cord, etc. Any ideas what it may be besides probably junk?

You could have a faulty motor or faulty wiring to the motor. Check the last entry here www.ifixit.com/
I sucked a coin into mine one time and it totally gummed up the works. If found a YouTube video and got it taken apart, cleaned and put back together and it works fine.
Sometimes even too much hair and junk can make it seize.
YouTube is amazing (and mine is an old Hoover Encore) I have kept going with YouTube fixes.
Hope you can get yours back to normal fast!!
