Combine all ingredients and heat on the stove. After it's hot I usually allow mine to simmer in the coffee pot for an hour or so before drinking because it gives the cinnamon flavor time to shine through.

In a large saucepan, combine juice or cider, water, allspice and cinnamon; bring to a boil. Remove from heat.
Place over low heat until steaming hot. Pour into cups and place a piece of stick cinnamon in each cup. Delicious with hot buttered popcorn.
If you like a slice of cheddar on apple pie, try adding some slivers to the bottom of hot apple cider. It's a gooey delicious, nutritious treat to be eaten out with a spoon once the cider's gone.
This is one of my family's favorites. We make this every year during the holidays. The cider is good with or without the caramel and whipped cream.
