Photo Description
I was doing some yard work while we were under quarantine. I was cutting some bushes when all of the sudden, I saw this nest! It had four eggs in it. I didn't know what kind of eggs they were, so I looked it up and they were House Sparrow eggs. They were pretty small, about the size of a quarter, and blue with brown speckles.

I'm so glad you spotted it before the nest or eggs were damaged.
We had some little birds high up in our apple tree. We haven't really seen them yet but the babies are busy making little peeps and the mama gets really mad and starts squawking when our cat gets too close.
That is so cute how the mama bird protects her babies like that when the cat comes near them. It is amazing how animals just naturally have that protective instinct to protect their babies!
When I first saw this picture, it looked like a pretty calico cat, on the right of the nest, looking at the nest. Then when I enlarged the picture, I see that it is a dead leaf. Funny how my eyes can play tricks on me.
It will be interesting to watch especially after the babies hatch. Hope nothing happens to them.
I'll be watching for some little bird pictures from you.
