My dog hasn't been spayed yet and is one year old. She's been house broken for 8 months now, with no problems. She just peed in my bed for the last 2 nights. She goes outside a lot, and has never had this problem in the past. I'm thinking it would help if we spayed her.

Your first step is to take her to the vet to rule out a urinary tract infection or some other physical reason for her incontinence.
While spaying is critical (to me at least since dachshunds--which I have--that don't get spayed have a high risk for cancers) bladder changes are frequently a medical issue--bladder infection, urinary tract infection, kidney infection. My first stop would be the vet. If this is the case, the antibiotics usually work quickly.
If the pup gets a clean bill of health, talk to the vet as the least frequent cause is anxiety or stress and there are a lot of good things that can be done to reduce that.
The other thing is if it happens at night, pick up the water bowl around dinner time and replace it first thing in the morning.
Hope it is an easy solution for you! Prayers for the pup!
She will need to be evaluated for incontinence, but when she is healthy I recommend a spay.
