We have a 6 month old French Bulldog. We have her in a crate during the day when everyone is at school and she gets let out at about 1:30 and then gets to stay in the kitchen with us till bed time (unless we leave then she goes back in the crate). Then she sleeps in the crate at night.
We give her water and food every morning at 8 and every night about 6. We take her out every 20ish minutes because if we don't she will pee everywhere. She always seems so thirsty, but if we give her too much water she has to pee every 5 minutes and doesn't tell us.
We have a bell at the door and have been trying for months to teach her to use it. She uses it sometimes, but then other times she just goes in the house instead. I just don't understand how sometimes she knows to use it and other times she doesn't. Also what am I supposed to do about water? Should I let her have as much as she wants or just 3 times a day (morning, afternoon, and night)? Last question, she pees and poops in her crate, right on her bed even. How do I stop this? I make sure she poops every morning before she goes in there and poops in the afternoon. And before bed!

This may actually be a medical problem. The water drinking and constant peeing is suspicious. I'd have her checked by a vet before you deal with this as a behavior problem, because it may not be.
