Recently our 10 year old female Pug/Beagle mix has started to pee and poop in the house. We will take her out and walk around for up to 20-30 minutes with nothing. We bring her in and as soon as we leave she goes. I have literally driven around the block and came home to find a mess.

She may have an infection or it could be old age. I would ask a vet.
Have you had her checked for a urinary, bladder, or kidney infection? In my world a huge percentage of the time when there are bowel and bladder changes it is from an illness. Most infections are very easy to treat (a pill in cheese or peanut butter) and things get back to normal.
Has she been under stress, like did you just move, get another dog, have your work hours change, have a change in the household. Stress can also cause changes to bowel and bladder habits. The vet can talk to you about pills or pheromones to help this situation.
10 years is still pretty young for a smaller dog. If she gets a clean bill of health, then you may want to talk to the vet about the best way to retrain her. Sometimes a brief crate training refresher is all that is needed.
We had our Carmel Ann in diapers for 2 years before she passed. She was healthy, but had a weak bladder which caused incontinence (but she was otherwise healthy) (she was 15). We used human diapers, size 1 (she was tiny) and changed them just like if she was a human baby. We just cut a hole for the tail and she was good to go! Diapie and wipie time became an easy routine. It gave her 2.5 years of quality of life that we are forever grateful for!
Blessings and prayers for your fur baby!
We have an appt on Monday. We lost our 13 year old Juggle almost 2 years ago. What has us baffled is she will go upteen times on walks. It's just our yard she doest go in. It's like she waits for us to leave the house. Just out of the blue for about a week now that shes doing this.
Awww....May Juggle's memory always be a blessing! What a sweet name!
Is it possible that another animal has marked your yard and that is why the pupster won't go in it? Just curious. My mom's late dog would not go in her yard after the deer had been through...it was like he was terrified if he went there they would know.
Post back after the vet visit. Prayers and good wishes for all!!
This sounds to me like it could be partly an anxiety issue. You need to have her checked out by the Vet to eliminate any physical problems. Have you had any changes that may be upsetting her? Anyone moved in or out? new or loud neighbors? A new work schedule? If nothing comes to mind maybe a brief crate retraining after have the Vet check her out.
