I am a disabled Vietnam veteran. My home just burned down. Where can I get some help?

Did you have insurance, if so that should cover your expenses. If not apply for a HUD apartment. You might have to stay with a friend or in a homeless shelter until you can get into a HUD apartment. But there are HUD apartments and they are low income. If you had insurance, depending on the kind of coverage you had, that should help you rebuild on the same site your house was on.
Did you own the house or was it a rental? Even so you should have had renters insurance to cover your belongings and repairs in case the fire was your fault.
You should be able to contact the Red Cross, United Way, or the Veterans in your area for help. Salvation Army is always ready to help. If you can't get there ask someone to call for you. God Bless you.
I guess it's sort of like the old chain of command. Contact the VA Clinic you go to and see if they can point you in the right direction.
Michael, I am sorry for the loss of your house. Have u tried the Red Cross? They're usually the first line of help. Here is their website: redcross.org I hope and pray you & your family are okay & get help soon.
