How do you safely remove lids from plastic kitty litter containers? I find them impossible to remove. I almost tore off a fingernail trying to get one off. No luck with most tools I've tried.

I would use a good pair of pliers.
Wow. Ive tried pliers and work gloves. Who knew . Nothing works. Frustrating since I paid more than $25 for the bucket!
