How Old Are These Lamps?

A lamp with a decorative flower on the side.I know there are multiple lamps, but hopefully someone with knowledge of lamps could answer in one spot instead of multiple questions. Looking for age and if possible what they are worth. Thank you in advance.

I believe these are 1940s "parlor" or "boudoir" lamps. The urn shape and floral decor mimics Victorian style and was very popular. The more valuable ones, it seems, are converted to electricity from oil lamps. On ebay they appear to be asking $40-$70 USD.

Lamps are a challenge to tell much from limited photos.

There is so much that needs to be examined to tell age and provenance.

First thing I look at are cords. What I can see, on the cords, the white with green cord looks older (maybe 1950 and looks to be damaged). The white and pink lamp cord looks much newer, so hard to tell if that cord was replaced or not.

I don't see any tops so I can't tell if there are finials or not.

I don't see the brackets that old the bulb or the switches. Those all figure into to date (or replacements).

Are they one way, two way, three way switches?

My best suggestion with lamps--especially if you are asking for age to help you figure out how to sell--would be to take them to a reputable vintage shop and have them assessed in person. They can also help you value them for your town.

While people sell lamps online, it is a huge challenge so we can talk about that if you want to go down that path.

Post back with what you learn and I can certainly help with next steps if you are trying to sell.

Thank you all that answered. The shades appear to be newer, and since they were my mother-in-law's (who has passed) I really can't get more info. Answer about the bases, they appear and have the weight of brass, and the cord are older. The switch has been replaced.

Again, thank you all

These vintage electric table lamps are hand painted. Perhaps, if you examine them, you would even find signatures.

In the first photo, the lamp is most likely made of frosted/milk glass, with brass base. The painting is not in very good condition, so I think the price is about $22-30. The prices you can check here: www.ebay.com/.../252615358952, www.ebay.com/.../372612868652, vatican.com/.../

In the second and third photos, the lamps are made of ceramic, in 1940's. In the second photo the lamp is with brass base. The price is about $25-40 www.ebay.com/.../184165615685

Look for markings on the bottom of them. Once you know who made them, it will be easier to determine age and value.

Thank you, but unfortunately there are not any marks on them.

I'm not very familiar with lamps but I do know they have made lamps like these for a number of years and still make similar ones at the present time.

Your shades look to be in very good condition so I would say that if your lamps are of any real age, then the shades have been replaced. That does not generally happen as shades are expensive.
Your lamps have brass stands that look to need a good polishing or may not have a true solid brass bottom/stand - maybe thinner brass or other metal.
I also noticed at least one cord is bad and that will lower the value.

There are some things that will help you in determining age:
How heavy are the lamps? Older lamps that have brass stand will be heavier due to the solid brass stands.
What type of material is covering the bottom of the lamp?
Felt? Cardboard? None? Older lamps usually had felt covering the bottom.
You can find all three of these styles in vintage or modern sites online so I would say to clean them up and list them with a higher starting price - maybe $40-$50 with best offer considered and also have free local pickup as well as shipping.

Shipping will be expensive and dangerous as these will require a lot of packing and generally best to double box.
