Our previous car had lots of scratches from going to the carwash. Mainly because the brushes were very abrasive and curb rub on the tires from the self automated ramp.
Therefore, when we purchased a brand new car - we physically hand wash our cars ourselves. However, it was very time consuming and we found that we use a lot of soap and water.
A few months ago, I spotted a car wash that didn't have any brushes and highly would recommend. If you want to protect your car's paint and avoid scratches from the abrasive brushes - try to find a car wash that uses just reclaimed water to wash the car. Plus, you do not have to drive in any ramps that will damage your tires. Just very strong water that washes your car!
The car wash is conveniently located near my home and it is only $6. It takes less than 5 minutes. You save a lot of time and water. It does not leave the car 100% clean (but the same as a standard carwash with brushes), but when you get home wipe down with a car towel for finishing touches. Saves you time, water and a scratch-free car.
