When my dog was vomiting, here is what the vet said might help and it did for us.
Don't feed, just offer very clean water often. Make sure dish is clean. There are a lot bacteria infections that dogs pick-up easily but are difficult to get rid of.
After a couple of days, offer the dog some clear chicken stock. If that works then add plain boiled chicken (no seasonings). Pick it apart well & stay away from human food.
Changing their food to a different kind can make a dog sick. Different foods have different ingredients. Dogs can have allergies and it is hard and expensive to test for them. NEVER give a dog chicken bones. Keep his diet bland for awhile & don't let the dog eat too fast or too much at a time.
This diet works but you have to stick to it. If you need to, restart the diet again if the dog's health improves but then gets worse again. If that happens I would start looking at everything that goes in the dog's mouth. Start taking away things one at a time each day. That might give you your answer as to what is making your pup sick. Good luck.
In the mean time keep pup's stress and activity level low while giving lots of soft, tender body massages. This not only soothes the dog but makes it really easy to touch any part of the dog. My diva hates having her paws touched but after a week or so she gives me no problem while cutting her nails.
This is a PS to my post a few minutes ago:
Don't worry about the panting. Dogs don't pant for the same reason a person breathes hard. Panting is the way dogs cool down their body. If it really gets to you, wet a rag and lay it on their body for about 15 to 20 minutes.
