How to Make Rectangular Bed Risers

A mom flying her child above her on a bed.I have that queen size bedroom set and the frame does not have legs so I was wondering if there is type of special bed risers to help raise my bed frame higher because I'm in need of it.

They actually sell bed risers on Amazon that you can pick and choose the ones that would best fit your bed frame. From what I am understanding your bed frame does not have feet so it sits on the floor. One thing I have found very useful was to add a set of drawers under the bed frame so the bed frame sat on the drawers. I did get this idea from a waterbed store so many years ago. I needed some drawers in my daughter's room and the room was very small and adding a dresser would take up more of the space.

I opted to get the riser for under the water bed she wanted and this gave her plenty of drawers under the bed and really raised the bed up off the ground. Normally these beds come with a small pedestal that they sit on but it was still low to the ground. Adding the drawers under this was a great idea and perfect for what I was looking for. If you still want to get some risers for the bed I would check a few of these out that Amazon has for sale. www.amazon.com/.../b?ie=UTF8&node=3732271 (Affiliate Link)

College kids use cinder blocks as risers. I assume it would work for a queen bed vs. just the college twins. Whatever you use, I advice an abundance of caution as if the materials are not stable, they can break and cause damage. My friend had a bunch of stuff he stored under his bed damaged when the one of the blocks he used on his college dorm bed broke. He's lucky it didn't injure him when it shattered.

Personally, I would buy something specially designed for a queen bed, but that is just me! Post back what you decide.

I believe most of the bed risers are safe to use but you should know what you need before purchasing a set.
You will need to know the size/inches of your bed legs to be sure they will fit safely in the hollow of the bed risers.

How much higher do you want to adjust your bed? Bed risers come in several heights.
How much weight are they guaranteed to hold? Be sure the specs state the maximum weight.

Bed risers can be purchased in your local stores and from many different stores online.
I use these for my work tables in my garden shed so that my tables are the right height so I'm not bending over when working on my plants. They work well and I like that I can change the height.
These adjust to 3- 5- 8 inches. The maximum holding weight is 1,300 pounds. I do not know the weight of your bed or the weight of the people using the bed so be sure to check the weight of your bed. The weight of the bed can usually be found on the receipt or even on the advertisement for the bed.
Adjustable sets can be found in many stores.
