Approximate Time: 30-45 minutes
Supplies:
1 sheet white printer/cardstock paper
your child's photo (on your computer)
computer (Microsoft Word and internet finding your state's license look)
printer (color printer preferred but not required)
pen for child's "signature"
laminating page (8.5x11") or clear contact paper
Instructions:
Design: Using the computer, open Microsoft Word (or equivalent). Insert a white (about) 2.5 inch by 4.5 inch rectangle with a thin black border.
Also look up a picture of a driver's license from your child's state of residence for reference if you'd like to make a simple top header and picture of the child's state. Be as creative or basic as you wish!
Example: For my Florida kid's license, I simply inserted a green rectangle at the top of the license, and then a green Florida to the right, like my Florida driver's license.

Photo: Insert child's picture cropped to 1.5 inch by 1.25 inch; two options detailed below.
Option A: If using a computer picture (easier!); in Microsoft Word, click "insert" then "picture", and paste the designated child picture in the Word document, cropping to an about 1.5 inch by 1.25 inch rectangle.
Option B: If using a print out of your child's face; cut a 1.5-inch by 1.25-inch rectangle bordering your child's face.
Driver info - this is the super fun part, insert a text box in Microsoft Word to the right of the photo for the driver license information. Include a title (such as JEEP DRIVER LICENSE*)
name
address
date of birth
sex (female/male)
height
issued (date it's made)
expires (date- a year after the issue date is nice)
blank space under the photo for the signature

"BICYCLE ALSO" caption at the bottom
"SAFE DRIVER" caption at the bottom, about 10 spaces after "BICYCLE ALSO" on the same line
*title: such a "DRIVER LICENSE", "BICYCLE DRIVER LICENSE", "TRICYCLE LICENSE", or "JEEP DRIVER LICENSE" (for a Power Wheels or any other battery-powered kids car, 4-wheeler, etc.)
*{Example: "JEEP DRIVER LICENSE" at the top, above the name, and "TRICYCLE ALSO" or "BICYCLE ALSO" after the "SAFE DRIVER" caption.}
Print out.
Cut out.
Signature. Have the child sign his or her driver license to the best of his or her ability.
OPTIONAL: Print out a small 1-inch-square-sized picture of your child's bike or jeep, etc. Glue lightly to the back of the driver license then proceed to the next step.

Laminate. Use a laminating sheet or clear contact paper. I made two per child in case we lost one!
