How to Work Jigsaw Puzzles

Many people would like to work jigsaw puzzles but are not sure what to do once the pieces are all in a pile in front of them. The key is to sort out the straight-edged pieces, which form the border first. I like to keep these straight pieces apart from the others. Then it is a matter of working with fewer pieces at a time.

Zipper bags are great for holding these groups of puzzle pieces. This is the perfect time for doing jigsaw puzzles while it is snowing or raining outside ;)
