"I love you a WATT!" Greeting Card - bulb with messageThis would be an extra cute card for a best friend, significant other, or someone special in your life that you love!

This is easy to make and is perfect to give as is, or you can glue the light bulb onto a plain piece of paper and turn into an actual card.

Total Time: 15-20 minutes

Supplies:

  • Assorted colors construction paper
  • scissors
  • glue stick
  • black pen
  • pink marker
"I love you a WATT!" Greeting Card - supplies
 

Steps:

  1. Cut out 2 light bulbs - 1 larger (pink) and 1 smaller than the one you just cut (yellow). Color is up to you!
    2. "I love you a WATT!" Greeting Card - cut out a pink light bulb
     
    "I love you a WATT!" Greeting Card - next cut one out a bit smaller in your choice of color
     
  2. For a cute touch, made a heart shape for the light bulb filament.
    3. "I love you a WATT!" Greeting Card - cut out the filament with a heart shape if desired
     
  3. Glue all pieces together.
    4. "I love you a WATT!" Greeting Card - glue the smaller bulb to the larger
     
    "I love you a WATT!" Greeting Card - glue on the filament
     
  4. Cut out a rounded square and glue together (this is the screw on area of the bulb)
    5. "I love you a WATT!" Greeting Card - cut out a rounded square for the screw on base
     
    "I love you a WATT!" Greeting Card - glue on the base

  5. Using pen and marker, make the face.
    6. "I love you a WATT!" Greeting Card - add eyes
     
    "I love you a WATT!" Greeting Card - with pink marker add cheeks
     
    "I love you a WATT!" Greeting Card - finally a mouth
     
  6. For finishing touches write your phrase and draw the lines to resemble the screw ridges where the light bulb would fasten into a light socket.
