What are homecoming ideas to ask a girl to homecoming as a friend but I like her more than that but she doesn't know that?
Rick from Everett, WA
Rick, just ask your friend if she would like to go to Homecoming. If you feel more comfortable, tell her that y'all can go "as friends". If she doesn't already have a date, I bet she'll say yes. As far as you liking her but her not knowing, she may already have an idea that you like her and she may even like you also, but has been too shy to tell you. The worst thing that can happen is that she'll say no, but at least then you'll have a good idea of where you stand. Good luck! (09/15/2007)

Slip her a note. "Hello (____), if you are interested in Homecoming, you can come along with me. It sounds interesting and I've never been to one, so I thought I'd check it out. Let me know what you want to do. Rick. " (09/18/2007)
I like Txsavr's post. I'm a girl and I would be flattered if I was asked to Homecoming in a nice, friendly way. (09/19/2007)

One night our doorbell rang. When my daughter opened the door there was a huge note which said "follow the rose petals". She followed a trail of rose petals strewn on the ground to a grove of trees where the boy stood with a bouquet of roses. He then asked her to homecoming and she happily accepted! (09/20/2007)

I think you should just ask the young lady to go with you. You may be very pleasantly surprised. Honesty is the best policy. She may have the same feelings for you, but is afraid to show them. Or she may have them and not realize it.
Best of luck! (09/20/2007)

Late at night go to her house and make an outline of your body on their driveway with tape so that it looks like a crime scene. Put yellow tape around the area. Then with the tape write "I'm dying to go to homecoming with you" and your name. Its bulletproof. (09/20/2007)

My brother got for disney characters:
curious george, goofy, nemo, and whinny the poo
He put one of each in the girls four classes.
1st, with curious george he wrote..."I'm curious"
2nd, with goofy..."I'm alittle goofy" 3rd, with nemo..."but out of all the fish in the sea" 4th, with whinney the poo..."will you be my honey for homecoming".
Then he left a window pen in her last class....for her to write yes or no on his car. It worked (09/26/2007)

Bake a brownie inside a throw away tin.. on the bottom of the tin write your name.. bake the brownie in the tin. Then on the brownie with frosting write M.O.R.P? she then has to eat the entire brownie to find out who it is. You may want to include a fork and knife for that added touch. (10/01/2007)

Well, I am a girl an if it was my guy friend I would want to be told casually. I mean I know that we girls get worked up over romantic things, such a cute way of being asked to homecoming, but I wouldn't go over board.
What I would do, and this is just a suggestion, is I would give her a single red rose, tell her how you feel and see what she says. You won't know till you ask! Best Wishes, and Good luck. (10/09/2007)

This is your opportunity to show her that you like her as more than a friend. The cuter you ask her the more you show her that you like her. So be creative and don't just ask her "will you go to homecoming with me" without any creativity. I got asked in the cutest way and it made me like my boyfriend that much more! (10/19/2007)

This year for homecoming my guy friend wanted to ask one of my other friends to homecoming. With a few connections he was able to make a chocolate heart box mold with a chocolate key inside and decorated her room and left the box on her bed. (03/04/2008)

So at our last homecoming, the guy that I liked asked me out. It was the cutest way ever. He got his entire soccer team into one of our teacher's rooms, and they all made shirts that said "nikki will you go out with me?" with one big letter one each shirt. Then at the pep assembly before the homecoming game, they all walked onto the gym floor, turned around, took off their soccer jerseys and turned back around. Then the guy came up behind me with a red rose. It was super cute :) (08/26/2008)

Here is a couple of good ways to ask a girl to any dance:
1. Get up early one morning and go to a highway that she must drive under to get to school everyday, and hang a sign from the highway telling her to meet you here, but do not give a name and have someone else write up the sign so she cannot tell that it is your hand writing. Buy red roses and stand at that place to ask her. (Choose a meaningful place and its a def yes :)
2. Go to a lot of different places that she likes, maybe a restaurant, or a movie theater and choose like 5 places, have the hostesses or the workers greet her different than everyone else and have them give her a clue I guess really any good way you can think, and at each of these 5 places she will get a clue that leads her to you, which is standing with roses ready to ask her to the dance. (same idea as the first choose a memorable place and the chances are higher)
These are just a couple of things I have done in the past to ask, now you try it. (08/29/2008)

This might seem cheesy but hear me out.
You can write a note with whatever you want to ask on it, fold it up and stick it in an old plastic film canister. You will have to weight it right, but have the film canister in the middle of a cup of water, not touching any of the sides, freeze it, and give it to her (make sure to take off the cup BEFORE you give it to her). She then will have to wait till it freezes to see what is even in there.
To make it less obvious, ask one of her friends to give it to her from an "anonymous" person so that your special someone will have no idea who its really from.
On the note, just have the question and a name. For weight, you can put something in the canister that is either memorable or has some value in more than one sense. (08/30/2008)

I got asked by a guy from England! He asked me by setting a dozen roses and a British flag (since he's like the only one from my school who is from there and everyone like knows he is) and a note that asked me, on my doorstep and rang the doorbell/ran. I loved it! Simple but cute. So then I responded in something quite American. I gave him a bouquet of BOTTLEROCKETS and a note that said 'it'd be a blast to go with you!' and set off a ton of fireworks when he answered the door ;) so fun. (09/07/2008)

This was how I was just asked to my homecoming on Friday!
I have soccer practice after school, and there was our first football game that night. So after soccer me and two of my friends went over to my house. I opened the door to my room and there was a huge sign cutting me off from the rest of my room that said, "Homecoming? 2008".
Then I turned my corner and on my mirror was written "Will you go 2 HC w/..." and an arrow pointing to a picture from the newspaper of the guy who asked me. Then sitting on my counter a soccer ball saying homecoming scrambled up and his name also scrambled up!
I thought it was pretty clever.
Also, another way is to spell it out with candles outside their window, and tell them to look outside. Then, if you want an extra touch. tell them to come outside and you're standing there with roses. (09/07/2008)

I asked my boyfriend to homecoming by having my neighbor who is a cop to pull him over. With me in the passenger seat we sat waiting for him to drive by (on the way to my house) then I ducked down and we pulled him over. It look so real. my neighbor was in full uniform and he told my boyfriend he was doing a random check for insurance. So when he went back out to my boyfriend's car he gave him a ticket that said "Go to homecoming with me or you will be arrested." When he read it I jumped outta the car. He said yes! :) (09/11/2008)

Get a detention slip (muhaha) and have her go to a closed door at school. Then leave a note on the door. (09/14/2008)

Plan on taking her to a nice dinner & then the day before dinner, ask the cook if you can put a note on the bottom of her plate. (make sure the note is laminated so she doesn't eat the note XD ). On the paper write *homecoming?* when you see her starting to get to the bottom, then say your going to the bathroom, and when you come back, bring her roses and her favorite dessert. (09/14/2008)

Here's a little secret one on one way to ask a girl to homecoming.
If your taking a foreign language and the girl you want to ask is taking the same language then do this. Ask her if she could help you with translating a sentence to English. In the foreign language write "(girls name), will you go to homecoming with me?" If shes not good at that language then it'll be a bigger surprise to her when she figures out what it says.
Even better if she has to go around to people or teachers to find it out. (09/16/2008)

Have your note asking ''homecoming?'' face up attached to the end of fishing line and somehow get her to come outside (like ring the doorbell and run, or call from anonymous number), then when she comes out and sees the note. Start reeling it in on the fishing pole from a hidden location and she will follow it all the way to you! (09/17/2008)

Have a bucket that you would use to go to the beach and fill with starburst. Pick one color out, in one case you would take all the pink ones out and write in sharpie on them. HOMECOMING? and mix those 12 pink ones in with the rest of them. It's cute. Attach balloons to the bucket.
With a clue on the bucket write...
" dig before you dance" (09/18/2008)

This idea gets him/her every time. First off you need a free period when she/he has a class, off-campus, and there also needs to be some kind of window in her/his class room. Make a big poster that says "will you go to (homecoming, turnabout, or whatever) with me?" on it.
Then you go off-campus find the window to her class and knock until everyone is looking then you hold the poster up. I waited for everyone to start clapping before I took it down, but you can modify it. Good luck! (09/18/2008)

You need to be able to go into her room when she's not home. your materials are:
10 blown up balloons
11 pieces of paper
a pen/pencil
two roses (one with prickly thorns)
step 1) write each word on it's on piece of paper (NAME)
WILL
YOU
GO
TO
HOMECOMING
WITH
ME
?
2) BLOW UP EACH balloon but before you seal it put one piece of paper in each.
3) Put the balloons all over her room.
4) leave a rose (the prickly one) and a note (the 11th piece of paper) on her bed or something and on the paper write "pop the balloons with this rose"
5) when she does she'll get the message but wont know who its from
6) the next day at school, give her the second rose :D (09/18/2008)

So I am a big volleyball player, and this guys just asked me to go to homecoming with him. We had a game that day and after the game my coach said go to the locker room and get all the balls laying around in there. So, I was walking and she said "and run!" so I stared running and started getting all the volleyballs and this one ball rolled out and it said we'd have a ball at homecoming. And then my date came out with flowers it was so cute! (09/18/2008)

Here's the best one I've heard of so far:
Go into her room when she isn't there and leave Hershey's kisses all over the floor, everywhere! Closets, dresser drawers, bathroom, you get the idea. Then leave a big note in the middle of them all saying "Now that I've kissed the ground you walk on, will you be my homecoming/prom date?"
Or if you don't like that get a giant bowl full of goldfish and then put a colored one right in the middle and leave a note saying "Of all the fish in the sea, you are the one for me. Will you be my date?"
Good luck (09/20/2008)

Alright i just made up a good one today. first thing find out your dates favorite kind of cup cake is but don't make anything obvious, sneak it into your conversation.
Then after you find out write on pieces of paper WILL YOU GO TO HOMECOMING WITH ME ? that's 8 pieces.
Then fill up 8 cup cake holders not all the way then put the laminated pieces of paper in them and bake it.
Write a poem telling the date that there is a hidden message in them just to make sure they don't eat the papers lol. SORRY you have to come up with your own poem.
After all done leave them on the front porch ring the doorbell and run.
If your date doesn't know that you planned on asking them come to school the next day with a cupcake and a rose letting them know it was you.
GOOD LUCK! (09/20/2008)

This girl I really like, I liked her for 2 years now and have not told her. last year on homecoming I was too shy to ask her. And she didn't go with anyone last year. She showed up and I showed up but again I was way too shy to ask her to dance.
I REALLY like her and I've been trying to get my way around to talk to her but that doesn't work for me. I'm just scared that if I tell her that I like her, and then she says she doesn't like me. I really want to ask her to homecoming this year. Any ideas or tips? (09/20/2008)

This boy asked my friend to homecoming by talking to the guy at my school that does the morning announcements, and asked if he could put in a special shout out the next morning. Then the next morning with all us sitting there in choir the announcements came on with "___ with you go to homecoming with ___" it was pretty cute she was quite flattered. (09/22/2008)

My boyfriend is going to ask my to homecoming sometime this week and i have no idea what hes going to do but I would love it if he did this. So hes very good at magic tricks, so is everyone in my classes. I would find a playing card with clues written on it to the next card.
Then at the end of the day he would request an announcement on the intercom and it would be our song playing (everything by Micheal Buble). Then he would tell me to meet him somewhere like in the auditorium and there he would be standing with a flower and the last card and when I would get to him he would hand me the card and say " is this your card" and it would say homecoming? on it. I think I would start to cry if that happened but it probably won't. Ha ha. (09/28/2008)

This is mine. Me and my girlfriend have been dating for awhile. So I took a Poster board wrote homecoming? Then put it on my ceiling right about my bed. After that I blindfolded her. Set her on my bed started to kiss her, then took out a rose and said look up. Perfect. (09/30/2008)

One way to ask a girl to homecoming is to go to build a bear work shop and make her a bear in a pretty dress and for the sound you put in it say will you go to homecoming with me? (09/30/2008)

Here's a really good idea. Take your cellphone and have your recorded message be something like "_____ would you like to go to homecoming with me?" and then go to the girl and say that you have lost your phone and if she would mind calling it to help find it.
The only hard part is trying to keep her on the phone long enough to hear your message. I haven't asked yet, but tomorrow.. : ) (10/01/2008)

All of these creative ways are very cute, and flattering, but you don't want to put her on the spot, so just ask her sometime when you are alone. Honesty is the best way. (10/04/2008)

One night I had a cheerleader game after that I went home and in the middle of my drive way there were roses that spelled "Babe your the most beautiful girl in the sea. Homecoming?"
Then there were lights all over my house then there were candles that I followed then he was standing there with 100 flowers and then my cheerleader squad and his football team.
It was the best thing in the world. (10/04/2008)

Pretty good way to ask a girl to homecoming or prom. Take a lot of cookie dough and put it on a cookie sheet or pan. Let it bake and then write Homecoming? or Prom? on the cookie in icing. No one is going to turn down a giant cookie. Worked for me. Just ask the girl before you do it what kind of cookies she likes cause you don't want to give her a cookie that she's allergic to. One of my best friends got asked to homecoming by her boyfriend in the cutest way! Him and his friends went to her house while she was out dress shopping with her mom and the decorated her room with balloons, ribbons, string, EVERYTHING! All of it was in our school colors [she's a cheerleader]. on 11 pieces of paper he wrote H-O-M-E-C-O-M-I-N-G? and they taped it to her ceiling but made the papers hang down on a string. I thought it was adorable! btw; she said yes!
Another friend of mine has a boyfriend who drives. and for Sadie Hawkins dance she had to ask him. every weekend they would go out to a fast food place or something and have dinner together. on the billboard thing outside of the restaurant she requested that it say "hey ______, sadie's baby?" I thought it was a very cute way to ask him :]
he said yes, too! (10/07/2008)

Our theme this year is "happily ever after". So my idea is to make a storybook or fairytale. Make the covers out of card board and the paper with poster board, you can make it as big or as small as you want. then either make up your own or use this:
Once upon a time in a far away kingdom, there was a beautiful princess
all of the fair maidens in the kingdom of (school name) were chatting excitedly about the grand ball that was to be held on the (date of dance)
The princess was equally excited because she had her eye on a handsome prince. he was by far the most handsome prince in all the land. he was tall, strong, and very sweet. So she gathered up all of her courage and asked him to be her date, but what will the prince say?
Will the princess get her happily ever after? because this story will only have a happy ending if you go to preference with me, (name) (10/08/2008)

Okay, go to her house at night time while she is gone shopping or something and attach lit glow sticks to her walls saying, "you light up my world, homecoming?" and hide somewhere in her room. She will see the glow sticks, turn on the lights and you will pop up with flowers. I got asked that way and I couldn't say no. (10/08/2008)

What I am planning to do this weekend for my date. I am getting 7 pumpkins (it's around fall) and carving "will-you-go-to-homecoming-with-me?" in them then lighting them with candles and placing them in her backyard at night. Then go knock on her door, hold her hands and tell her to close her eyes. Lead her to her backyard and tell her to open her eyes. She will see that and obviously say yes ha ha. Also, pray it doesn't rain. lol (10/08/2008)

Okay, I thought this was amazingly cute. This guy asked my friend to homecoming by putting 6 roses one in each of her classes with a paper atteched to them saying,
1.will
2.you go
3.to
4.homecoming
5.with me
6.?
He had her teachers give her the rose when she got in class. Then he showed up with a rose in his hands... and she said yes! I thought it was the cutest way to ask out a girl to homecoming.

Get her locker combo from a friend. Then fill her locker with tennis balls like super filled so that when she opens it they all tumble out. Then have a note hanging in the back of her locker saying "I finally got the balls to ask you to homecoming" it's adorable and then come around the corner with flowers so she knows who it's from :) my friend Gt asked this way, and it was so cute. Lots of luck to you I'm sure your date will say yes!

Okay if your a guy the perfect way to ask a girl to homecoming is getting a plain white shirt and in washable marker write a lot of letters around the shirt. Then take a permanent marker [the same color} and write HOMECOMING on it but around the shirt to make it go all the way around. Ask her to wash that shirt for you and she well, then we she takes it out of the washer it say HOMECOMING. Most likely she well say yes.

When I got asked to homecoming in was the last class of the day and I got asked to do something for my teacher and when I came back, he was standing there and said read the board and it said "will you go to homecoming with me" and he had a ton of roses and of course I said yes:) (10/13/2008)
This worked for me. I wanted to ask this one girl who was like a varsity cheerleader and way out of my league so I needed a really good idea. I ended up putting it on the big flashing billboard in my school. It was so cool because everybody was in there and was like OMG Kaleigh look! Then she said yes and we've been together for 3 years. One of my best guy friends asked me to homecoming this way. He baked 11 cupcakes and wrote "HOMECOMING?" (one letter per each cupcake) in icing on them. He put them on my doorstep and called me on my cell, and told me to go look on my doorstep. I walked out saw them and told him yes on the phone, then he popped out of my bushes. We ate the cupcakes. Last year I told this girl I wanted to ask to meet me in the gym one night after one of my football games. She came in and no lights were on. She looked and a grip of candles in the center of the court.
She went up and saw a few red roses in the center and she looked around, I turned on the lights and asked her. She said yes and we went. Too bad she dumped me one week after homecoming. Turns out I'm a little bad at judging character but a good idea none the less. (10/20/2008)

It's about paying attention to detail. I took this girl on a date to Seattle the weekend before I asked her. I asked a lot of questions, paying attention to her answers. One, and it sounds stupid I know, was, "If you were a fruit, what would you be?"
During the week I got her best friend to get her locker combo. I had dressed a pineapple in a tux and a mango in a dress (the fruits we decided we were). I put these in her locker with a picture frame with pictures from our day in Seattle, our bus tickets and stuff from things we did that day. Inside the frame was a note that said
"So mangoes and pineapples are good together in a lot things like smoothies, ice cream, and dancing. Don't believe me? How about I prove it at homecoming.." A lot of work I know, but it was all worth it. She said yes.

I just asked my boyfriend to morp in this way. I bought a pumpkin and wrote on it:
"Hey 'pumpkin!' It would be 'smashing' if you would go to morp with me!"
Then I got like 10 dollars worth or quarters and one of them said my name, and put them inside a little slit in the pumpkin.
He had to smash to pumpkin to figure out who was asking! (10/26/2008)
