I saw a neat idea that I plan to use next Christmas. They had cut all the cards in the pattern of a little dress and used it for garland. I plan to cut them in a bell shape instead. There is also an address that you can send them to for children to make new cards to send. I think I saw that somewhere on this site. Hope this helps!
I cut the cutest part out with decorative scissors, punch a hole in the corner, add a gold string or ribbon and then write "To and From" on the back in Calligraphy. These make beautiful gift tags, even if theyre big. Use the big ones on the bigger gifts.
If you don't want to use them but just don't want to waste them, you can send the non Disney, and some other restrictions to:
St. Judes Ranch for Children
and here is the website for the requirements for donations.

I use them as gift tags. I cut around the part I want to use and use as gift tags. I put a hole in it and attach it with ribbon.
You could see if you local school or Sunday school or club like Brownies wants them for craft projects.
I've cut off the pretty scene from cards, of all sorts. Then use a hole punch to put a hole thru it, along with a string & use it for a gift tag.
I have member of our church save their Christmas cards for me. I cut them apart making new cards using card stock and invitation size envelopes from an office supply store. I sometimes use the wording inside; either cutting it out and re-gluing or handwriting it.
Many years ago, I posted a slipper made from old Christmas cards. I looked it up in the archives, and you can see it here
