I had an older broad tip marker in my craft supplies. I am going to make some pumpkins with markers, but knew this one was half spent. When I got two new ones, I wanted to make sure I could tell them apart. So I marked the older one with a "minus" and the two newer ones with "pluses".
Now I can use the older one up before I open the others. N-JOY!

I do something similar but I do the reverse.
I put a -- on new one and just add a line to make a + on old one. Same idea and it works.
We sure are clever ladies, huh? Great minds and all that!!
I think my mind is drying out over time but I just keep plugging anyway.

Yes, putting a minus line on new ones makes more sense. After they're half used up add another line. Then when you get other new ones out another minus sign on those.
