Hello, I am wondering if anyone has ever seen my elephant or know where and who made it? I know he is a least 61 years old. Any help or direction would be most appreciated. Thank you, Craig

Aww! This looks like a late 1940s-50s Gund elephant. Well loved and maybe minus a bit of stuffing. He seems to have the Gund outline from that era. Steiff had longer trunks often with a bend in them. Are you trying to replace him? I see them on eBay and Etsy periodically. Sometimes the seller has now clue the brand so you may need to do a generic vintage elephant search. Good luck!
This elephant appears to look like it was made from a pattern/kit. This could have been a private seller or a gift.
This looks hand sewn. The paws are a giveaway. Someone made this for a child.
Hi Judy, I have had this elephant since 1961, before that my brothers may have had it. The paws had been replaced many years ago by my Mom and I believe that they were a brown in color. It was well played with and had many surgeries for repair that I remember. I am trying to find pictures from back then to see the original color.
