I found a chest with looking the same latches as yours chest has, and about the same size:

The chest I found is dated 1920's.
The chest in not in perfect condition, but a little better than your chest, the price is $375.
Vinyl was invented in 1920, so it cant be older than that.
Do I see newspapers at the bottom of the chest ?? You might be able to find the date on the newspaper , that would possible give you an idea of the age of your chest.
