I bought this for $120 and want to redo it, but I don't want to mess it up if it is an antique.

Look behind, underneath and in the drawers for identifying marks. Discuss this with an antique dealer before you do anything.
I have searched the entire piece inside and out and have no identifying marks. The only mark is the number on the back and I included it in my photos 9034thank you for you help.
This is a gorgeous piece and I think it may be from the late 1800s or early 1900, which would make it an antique if it is 1919 or older.
Does the front piece fold down for a desk or is it just drawers?
I have never seen anything like it.
Because of it being so unusual and unmarked, I suggest taking it (if you can) or much more detailed photos--like the drawers showing the construction, any screws or nails and the like--to a reputable antique dealer and getting their feedback for the value of the piece where you are. Antique values are all over the place depending on where you are...the values can vary city to city and state to state if in the US and foreign values are much different than US values, as most people in Europe and other countries value antiques much more than Americans.
Since you already have $120 invested in it, if it were mine and worth twice or more of that, I may consider selling it...
Or, since you love it, you can refinish as you see fit if your intent is to keep.
Post back what you learn and decide!
