I've been finding these bugs in my house. They crunch when squeezed and don't appear to fly. So far, bug spray doesn't seem to work. Can anyone tell me what they are?
Thanks!

These look like beetles. They are a nuisance, but they don't damage the wood of the home like termites and carpenter ants do.

Family Cureulionidae-Weevil Beetle Larva bore into and eat plant roots.

There are large families of beetles and weevils and many look almost identical.
- Your photo looks similar to the Vine Weevil to me and these sometimes come in the house on pot plants.

- But there are several more that certainly look similar and one is called the flour weevil as it comes in flour and other similar products.

- Here is an article that describes how to get rid of different types of weevils.

- Maybe one of these looks like your bug and you can start working on killing the ones in your house.
