These little guys are starting to appear in our formal living room. It is a colder room than normal and has lots of natural light. We started noticing them 1 week ago, now, I can't not see them. They are very small and very slow moving. Any ideas?

They may be a carpet beetle. I would get an exterminator in before they multiply and become a nuisance.
Yes, that is a carpet beetle.
Dermestidae are a family of Coleoptera that are commonly referred to as carpet beetles. en.wikipedia.org/
If you can actually pick up a few of them and put them in a jar or bag, I'd take them to a pest control office in your area. They can tell you what they are and what needs to be done.
You didn't say if you lived in the Pacific NW, but if you do, these just might be Tuxedo bugs; particularly in light of the fact they chose to frequent your formal living room.
We call these little nuisances "Japanese Beetles" They usually accompany a strong windy day. They can bite but not poisonous just irritating because one bit me.
