The wide top on a wine glass is to allow full appreciation of the beverage's aroma, the well shape at the bottom allows for swirling to release the aroma, and the stem is to ensure that warm hands don't heat up the contents. The color appears to be Pink Depression but also could be called Tiffin Pink (after the mfg location in Tuffin, OH). Based on this image alone, I would say this is Depression Glass from 1929-1939, but you can confirm by the characteristic presence of tiny bubbles. Also, check the underside of for thin lines running in a similar direction; this glass usually was dried on straw, leaving an impression.
Many glass manufacturers had a logo on the bottom of the glass, such as the Libbey glass company. It will be hard to identify glasses without markings.

Glass pieces that appear to be Depression glass but with more elaborate designs and intricate detailing are likely Elegant glass. Depression glass was all machine made, Elegant glass was hand-finished.
