We found this in a crate in an old barn on a property we bought to build our home on which at one time was a working farm many years ago. Does anyone know what this may be if assembled. We believe it was shipped here and never assembled.

You might also contact a local antiques dealer.
(BTW...it looks like that large round post could be made into a sturdy pedestal for a nice farmhouse table.)
You can get the forum at this website for identifying old farm equipment www.antiquetractorsforum.com/
This is certainly unusual.
Is there any way you can contact the previous owners to see if they may know something about this crate of goods? Maybe contact whoever handled the sale for help in contacting someone?
I hope you did not throw away the parts of the crate, as this could be valuable, even if just for research.
There are several places that may be able to help you, even if just by suggesting people to check with.
You might try some appraisal houses to see if anyone has any ideas. i would try several links. Free sites.

You might ask your question here:
I think these are parts of an antique wooden grain mill.
Antique thresher had many wooden parts.
This is a very difficult question, because these wooden things may be parts of more than one farm equipment. I think you need to contact a museum.
