The only real way to validate the authenticity of these chairs is from an antique dealer. They know what to look for and how to determine if they are real or a copy. From a picture it is impossible to tell you one way or the other. A person needs to inspect the chairs and look them over carefully to give you an idea about them.

You might want to take the chair to an appraiser before you buy it. Or have a written contract saying that you can return the chairs if they are not real.

This is an expensive brand of chairs so you should be very cautious of who is selling these before you pay your money.

• Most of this brand chair will only be sold in higher end antique shops or in a well advertised auction.

• There are some on line sites that offer free appraisals and I believe you should take the time to consult one or more of these appraisers.

• Be sure to read the "fine print" to make sure they are really "free" but I believe several of these sites are free.
