I have my mother's Homer Laughlin china, G 48 N 6. I was wondering about the pattern name and when it was made and where?
Thanks.

I am wondering if the color wore off this plate and it used to be Golden Rose.
I think this is your pattern:

It is one of the Virginia Rose Gold Leaf version.
HL naming and numbering continues to baffle me as they have a bazillion similar pieces and names.
When I was trying to sell of part of my grandmothers set, I worked directly with replacements.com and they gave me the exact name, the year (although I had an idea of the age of mine since they were a wedding present when my grandparents got married).
If you are looking to buy them, they are out of stock on Replacements. If you are looking to sell, perhaps replacements will buy them to get restocked. Shipping is a nightmare...you have to wrap SO CAREFULLY...but they pay decent! I have always been pleased with their service both buying and selling.
I am not sure the year of yours. Replacements folks are lovely. Perhaps they can tell you.
Hope this helps!
I'm not sure about the pattern but your rim does not resemble any pattern that I saw on Replacements but it would have been easier to research if we had a picture of the full plate/piece as we cannot see the full rim.
Homer Laughlin made hundreds of patterns over the years and changed their numbering system numerous times.
It is possible that Replacements can help you with identifying your china.
They may also be interested in buying (IF you wish to sell).
I feel sure they will ID your china and also state years it was produced.
You will have to follow their instructions carefully.
They want good pictures.
