What is this? I found it on my bed. It was really small, but I don't know what it is. I haven't seen any more, but I'm not risking anything.

This pattern is consistent with the common carpet beetle. They eat fibers and such. Typically harmless. Vacuum them up, seal cracks in window sills and doors and around the foundation and do a deep cleaning and they should go away.
A few usually are not a worry. If you start to see dozens and dozens, you may need to have a professional look.
Best to clean up any dead leaves and such around your home and seal openings in windows, door jams and the foundation. That should eliminate the challenge!
When I saw that bug I went crazy and did research. I had thought it was a carpet beetle and this confirms it.
This seems to be the time when they go rogue coming into the house and being active. Usually a good cleaning works and they disappear!! If you have a lot of brush (dead leaves and such) around your house, now is a good time to get rid of that as that is one of their main breeding grounds. Best wishes!
This is a Brown Marmorated Stink Bug- this bug comes various shades of red, grey, light brown, copper and "marmorated" means variegated or veined. This insect gives off a smell when crushed. They are pest that like grains, dry goods, etc.
Thank you for replying but I think it was a carpet beetle. I looked up the brown marmorated stink bug and it doesn't look like what I saw (both antomically and the coloring).
Since there is only one don't worry about it.If there were more I would put it in a bag and take to a exterminator to find out what type of bug it was.
