Identifying Little Black Flying Bugs?

I have these little black bugs on my window sills, in my bed, and also in my dresser draws stuck to my clothes. They just sit there until they get bothered then they either fly away or crawl away. They mostly see them when it is hot out. Please help.

Without a picture it is hard to say for sure but I think they are a type of gnat. Spray with insecticide

Do you have a photo you can post?

Not seeing an example, I can share that when I had an issue with small bugs swarming in my house, it was from a bag of potatoes I forgot about that attracted a swarm of fruit flies. Once the bag was gone, the problem was gone!

This site has a lot of folks who are great at home remedies for insect removal....but we have to know what we are up against, as some solutions work better than others depending on the critter!

If you have more info or photos, please let us know!

Sounds like fruit flies/gnats to me. You can buy inexpensive tips for them or make your own by putting 1/4 apple cider vinegar and a teaspoon of dish soap in a jar. Roll a piece of paper into a cone shape, and place into the jar pointy side down. They fruit flies can fly into the jar, but can't get back out. The vinegar (needs to be apple cider because it smells sweet) lures the gnats and the dish soap traps them in the liquid.

Be sure to keep as much produce as possible in the fridge. Gnats LOVE any fruits or veggies left on the counter. Wipe up spills immediately and wash dishes. Pour vinegar and baking soda down your drains (including the bathroom) and flush with hot water. They sometimes hang out in drains. Take the trash out and clean litter boxes/diaper pails daily.
