Can anyone provide the name of this Noritake china or maybe when it was made?

The mark on the back of your dinner plate Large, gold M or other colored M encircled by a wreath. This M stood for their namesake, Morimura, and was used until World War II. I can tell you when it was made or approximately when it was made. They started to use this marking in 1911 and they continued to use it until WWII. I am not finding the name of the china only the time period that it was made in.
The name of the pattern is Roseleigh. You can see it on Replacements.com to confirm.

I am a bit of a china geek, cybergrannie! I hope the poster confirms it with replacements. Such an elegant pattern!!
Your china was made before 1937-38 and since it has the US patent applied for in the mark it would have been made toward the end of that period.
Replacements.com has a lot of Noritake china (331 pages) and most likely yours is somewhere in that mix.
You can send pictures to Replacements and ask about the pattern. They are very good about answering but they do have some mistakes in their dating system.
They may also tell you if they are interested in buying these pieces.
