I recently started seeing these tiny reddish brown bugs in my bathroom. At first I just saw one or two, but over the last two days they seem to be multiplying. They are mostly on the floor by the molding, but I have found a few by the window in my shower (which I keep open quite a bit ), and in the sink. They can fly I think, but I've mostly seen them crawling. I've only noticed them in my bathroom, nowhere else. My roommate has none in her bathroom. They seem to be most active at dusk or at night. I did close my window last night and still woke up to find some dead on my floor. Any ideas as to what they are or how to get rid of them?

This looks like a water beetle that come up from the drain or in a wet area in your home.
I agree and they seem to burrow in rugs. Some red bugs bite like the species in Florida moss in trees. Water beetle is not as vicious or itchy effect thank goodness.
