I was given this sewing machine by my mother. It doesn't have a manual, and she can't remember how to use it, it's been so long. I am a complete newbie and have never used a sewing machine. I would like to teach myself simple straight line stitching. I have tried google images without luck for this one. Any help would be amazing.
Thank you

One small picture is not enough to help you identify your machine.
There should be a name and serial number somewhere on the machine.
Is it a treadle or a portable?
You can post several pictures of the full machine - front and sides - a close up so we can see the full front - or you can try contacting members on sewing forums to see if they can help.
Since you are a true beginner, you need to join these forums so you can ask for help as you are learning.

Or you can locate a sewing class in your area and they can help you identify your machine.
You can Google sewing classes with your zip or go to craft stores and ask for help.
It looks like the name on your machine is Frick.
This company is located in South Africa but you may be able to contact the company and ask about who made your machine and where to get a manual.
Companies like this bought other brand-name machines and put their name - Frick - on the cabinet.
