Please help me identify this bug. I had just come in the house and shortly after he was crawling on my pillow. I am not sure if he came in with me or was already in here. I only saw the one. He is very black with 6 legs, antennae and a snout - to bite or suck maybe? He does not have wings. He's difficult to kill - I tried to smoosh him several times to no avail. He is currently living out his life in a plastic bag. He's very small, about the size of a pencil lead. BTW I live in Michigan.
Any and all help would be appreciated!

It is some kind of a hard shelled beetle. Dont worry.
Thank you to all who helped! It was very kind of you!! After reading so many other posts regarding identifying "small black bugs" and seeing so many people recommending contacting your local extension offices, that's what I did. The 'Bug Guy' (his words, not mine) identified it as a type of weevil and it must have hitched a ride into my home.
Thank you again!
