It looks like a water bug. Spray with insecticide. If you rent, tell the landlord and have him or her get an exterminator.
Try matching your critter to this one--which is a carpet beetle. It looks very similar from what I can see.

The link has really good info about how to get rid of them which mostly involves a good vacuuming as long as you do not have a full blown infestation.
