We have noticed a number of these skinny black bugs on our carpet recently. What is it and how do I get rid of them? Some have wings and some don't.

Now this one might sound a bit off but here we have these bugs and they are termites. When they first come out they do have wings and can fly but after time the wings to fall off and they just crawl around and get into the wood. From the image that I am seeing these bugs look just like the ones we have here. You may need to get your home sprayed to get rid of them. For now lay down some stickly fly paper and try to trap as many of them as you can.
It is hard to tell from the photo. I'm not so sure they look like termites because the color does not seem right. It might be good to take one over to an expert for proper identification, especially if you need exterminators
