Identifying Tiny Biting Bugs?

Identifying Tiny Biting Bugs - tan and brown bugWhat are these bugs? They are very tiny. I place a bright lamp on the floor and they seem to come to it. They will bite. They mostly crawl, but will fly. I had some new potting soil a few weeks back and thought they might have been in that. I just want them gone.

The pattern looks like a carpet beetle. Vacuum thoroughly. Dispose of the vacuum contents outside. Call an exterminator.

Looks like carpet beetles. They are coming for food from dander, carpet fibers and such. Pesky and icky, but usually one good vacuuming and thorough cleaning gets rid of them.

Check around doors and windows and caulk if needed to prevent future visitors. Usually this gets them gone! Hopefully it will be an easy fix!!
