These black bugs only come to my house in the night and there are so many that we can't sit on the sofa or sleep on the bed. Everything is contaminated with these bugs. They are the size of cumin. They can fly a little bit. They have been in my house for a week now. We have sprayed using Mortein and other chemicals along with water. For the time being they are gone, but again no result after few hours.

They could be gnats. It is hard to tell without a picture. Spray with a general purpose insecticide.
They arr flying on us s bit and its getting itchy
Fungus gnats- they often get confused as fruit flies. Fungus gnats love humid, damp, moldy, atmosphere.
Insecticide helps!
Can you post a photo?
Are they biting you or just annoying?
There are many critters that fit this bill...no see ums, gnats, fruit flies, and a variety of mites.
Most will go away if you can find the source and get it cleaned out...like if you have a bad bag of potatoes it could be fruit flies or if they came home in a bag of flour, they could be flour mites.
Post back with an update! Hope you can figure it out quickly. This can be so annoying!
Normally if you have a lot of them like this they are gants and this is common at the end of winter and going into fall and winter. I would spray around your windows and even spray them to get rid of them.
I had what I thought were those tiny ants, but I noticed them around my lights. I left the room and they were all over my bed In nano seconds.
We had them on our boat when it was in the marina. They landed on a white surface. Its the only way we noticed them except for the biting. I dont see any in my house but the bites keep showing up on me. Can they get under the skin?
I have them as well. Noticed them this August and everything I tried doesn't seem to work, including hoovering, having pest control over to do two sets of sprays and using insecticide myself. Then multiply rapidly, get in my bed, shoes and clothes. I've sent samples off to an entomologist to identify the bug. They are a living nightmare!!
Do they also run around real fast and then when you try to smack them they fly? I don't know what they are either. I need help identifying mine as well.
