Identifying Tiny Brown Oval Bugs?

Identifying Tiny Brown Oval BugsI have noticed there are some tiny dark brown oval curved insects in my apartment recently. They are everywhere, in the closet, kitchen, bathrooms, and even on the ceiling. I found 6-7 of them since last week and I have no idea what are they. They don't seem to fly nor jump. They just walk, not really fast and it's easy to catch them. I have a baby and a cat and I am afraid they may cause them some health issues.

It looks like a beetle. Notify the landlord

Since you are in an apartment, definitely call the landlord. If he is not responsive or just while you are waiting, look at the link below and see if it is an Asian beetle (looks like a ladybug but with more spots). If it is a regular ladybug, they are annoying, but basically harmless.

Asian lady beetles can be aggressive and love to get in your face. While I have never been bitten by one, friends have, so if this is what you have, you may want to take come precautions with your punkin baby and kitty.

While it doesn't solve the problem of permanently getting rid of them, the best defense is to get your vacuum and suck them up and take the bag to the trash ASAP (far away from the apartment).

Also in the short run, if you know if you have space in the windows seals where they could be coming in, you may want to rig something to block that space until the landlord can fix it.

Hope this helps!

It looks like some type of beetle - maybe a carpet beetle.
Do you have regular pest control visits (most apartment complexes do)? If so, you should mention this to the agent when he does your apartment next time.

You should talk to your landlord and maybe have them send someone over to check for these bugs.
You can also put some in a baggie and take it to one of your local Ace or True Value Hardware stores (they usually have more knowledgeable "bug" people) and they may be able to help you.

This may not be dangerous as just a bug but you do not want to have bugs around your child so keep checking until you find an answer on what it is and how to stop it from coming into your apartment.
Just in case it is a beetle:

I have a lot of them in my garage, only at night, i have noticed they are attracted to light. so we try to leave the garage light off at night. Does any have a bunch crawling around then the next day or two they are all dead on the ground? Its crazy they are super slow, they don't do anything but there is a bunch of them. I don't want the kids around them. So my garage has dead tiny bugs all over it. It's Nasty, can someone please tell me how to get ride of them.

I have no idea what it is but I found on in my bathroom sink and can't find what it is anywhere. It's not an asian lady that's just a lady bug and that not what that bug is.

I've got the same I've had them identified as carpet beetles. They've done a lot of damage to my clothes shoes, boots, bedding they live in your food cupboards l used a neon carpet beetle and moth spray from Amazon also white vinegar and water I've had the beetle larvae in my hair nose and ears l used a head lice treatment on my hair The next step is to get a pest control in to fumergate my whole house as I'm heavily infested with them Hope this helps anyone in a similar situation by the way I'm in the UK

I have them too. Just found them about a week ago. They were in my Guinea pigs food. Then I began noticing them on the couch, saw a couple on my bed, the floor, and found a couple on some clothing items.

has anyone found out what they are?

They're so hard to get rid of but they're mainly only active at night when the lights are on and they fly around. I live in a humid country and I've never seen them anywhere else except in my room and everytime i think i killed them all another one appears again out of the blue and they all seem to never be able to die out...

I'm truly to get rid of them as well. Entire pantry cleaned and I never found any in there but I did get a blue light and they're attracted to it so they get stuck to it and die but these bugs fly over my food while cooking and hang around my table

We also have it here in our apartment and it was not here before but suddenly we started noticing it increasing from one to two to now I can't even count. We find dead bugs all around the house.

I have those too. They are harmless. I did show them to my exterminator. I was concerned about bedbugs. He couldn't remember what they are. I put a small bowl of vinegar on my nightstand which attracted them. I haven't seen them in months now
