I have a few of these on my bathroom near the tub. They are very tiny ones. I took a photo with a penny next to it to show the tiny size.
I am in East Bay, CA. Can anyone help identify?

Do they have wings? They could be sand fleas or another one of the flea family.
Your photo blurs so maybe if you search and find images for both you can tell.
Post back what you learn.
I'm thinking gnats. Use a general purpose insecticide.
BTW, I took a couple of these in a ziplock to the UCCE Contra Costa county (cecontracosta.ucanr.edu/
The key to managing these is moisture. I think we had water leak in the bathroom. He advised to get the leak checked.
These are fleas from 20 years of watermelons looking at cats and I know all fleas, at the moment we are fighting fleas again in our bathroom in England in our quarters. We have in the whole house a lot of mishal and moisture, which is favorable for fleas, our cats have straps that last for 8 months and from rain also protect. Rodents entered our rooms and we filled the rooms with fleas from mice laying on their fur, there are also many squirrels and foxes, they are also full of fleas. They've sprayed flea companies twice this year, and we still have one.
