Can anyone help identify these chairs? I bought them at a garage sale and always get tons of compliments on them, but I know nothing about them. If there is a maker's mark, it has been covered by upholstery.

Have you turned the chairs over? There may be a mark on the bottom.
Ive looked everywhere. I dont see any type of mark or brand.
Beautiful chairs! I call these club chairs. The upholstery looks new. They may have been leather to start.
They resemble but are not an exact match to what I see called like charleston polo club chairs.
I wish I knew more about the style. It's one I don't see much in my neck of the woods. I peg yours between the 1920s and 40s unless they are reproduction pieces then the decade is up in the air.
A good furniture dealer in your town...who deals in vintage can probably give you much more info if you show photos with close ups of all sides, and the feet. They are very handsome! Thanks for sharing!!
