It looks like a hard-shelled beetle. Spray with an insecticide

It could be a carpet beetle:

They usually go away once you do a good vacuuming and cleaning inside and, go the extra step of cleaning any yard debris from around your house and seal cracks in windows or doors or bricks.

Hope that solves your issue.

This is some sort of beetle that has gotten into your home. I have them come in from time to time. I don't like spraying my house with anything because I have animals. The best way to get rid of them is to deep clean the home and when done throw the vacuum bag away.

Food grade Diatomaceous Earth (DE) is easy to use and does a very good job of getting rid of all kinds of bugs. Food grade is safe for humans and pets (try not to breath dust) and can be found at hardware stores as well as Home Depot, Lowe's, Farm Supply stores, and online. You will only need about 2-3 pounds but food grade only (not pool supply).

Thanks for letting us know about your mysterious bug. Sometimes they are difficult to identify. Especially when it happens to be found in the 'wrong' room.

Sounds like you may have a cleaning/clearing job on your hands.
This is still a good place to use food grade DE as this will kill any little bug you do not catch/eliminate.

Thanks for letting us know. I have had that happen before. They hitchhike home from the store sometimes. If it was a recent purchase, you may want to let the store know. Best wishes!

Looks like a carpet beetle. But cant tell well from the photo. Borox put in places where pets cannot get to them will help with bugs such as this one
