It could be a jasmine plant
I want to say it is in the privet hedge family, but I can't find an exact match to the gorgeous centers. I have it in my head from 6th grade (many, many, many, many years ago) botany class that if that is it, some are poisonious to eat.
Do the flowers have a really sweet smell? That was the other thing I remember if it is a privet. I feel bad that I can't confirm my hunch. Hope one of the experts on the site can. Or you can always take it to your local ag school and get their feedback. Let us know what you find!
Have you found out what it is? Is it a flowering jade? www.gardeningknowhow.com/
I am very curious!
It looks like an Ornithogalum, maybe a O. umbellatum. Or maybe it's a Dog Eared Hibiscus, very rare outside of Central Asia
it is not Ornithogalum umbellatum
