I received this plant as a gift a few months back and I love it. But I don't know what it is called or proper care instructions for it. If I can get the name of it, I should be able to find the rest of the info I need. Thanks in advance :)

peperomia obtusifolia
It is a peperomia, like many people have suggested. I had one survive for about 20 years, just died last summer. They don't need a lot of water or very bright light.
It's a type of peperomia. Be careful not to overwater and keep out of direct sun. You may be able to find which species it is by googling "peperomia varieties".
It appears to be a jade plant which is a succulent
i don't believe that to be correct, i am not sure what this plant is but i have my doubts about it being a jade plant... i will look further into it
