I found this plant near my building and I'm having trouble identifying it so that I can care for it, and/or figure out if it's poisonous to my cats.

The stripes on the leaves make me think it's a dieffenbachia
My friend is a certified master gardener and says this is an Aglaonema, which could be toxic to pets.
I do not have this plant but I have seen it (or something that looks like this) in our local (Florida) stores and they are calling it a Chinese Evergreen or Aglaonema.
