Identifying a Houseplant - dish planted with succulentsCan anyone identify the species in this houseplant? Also, I would like to know how to look after it as it has not done well in direct light on a windowsill.

These are succulents. Dry them out between waterings. It may need a break from afternoon sun if your window is too hot.

I believe your plant is in the Echeveria family of succulents. Not sure of the exact name but it could be Echeveria glauca or maybe even Echeveria lilacina or Ghost Echeveria. Maybe someone else will have a better idea.

Your dish garden contains a few different succulent plants. They are low-water and low-humidity requirement plants that love good sunlight. I'd feed them about twice a year with a diluted plant fertilizer such as Miracle-Grow. You don't want them to grow too quickly so that they remain in their container if it is decorative.
