I have these two plants that I got from a friend and I'm not sure what they are can anyone help identify them?

I believe the second one is a baby palm. We have one in the yard.
I believe your first plant is an Arrowhead Vine but there are many varieties so I'm not sure of the exact type but most of these need the same kind of care. Your plant looks a little pale so its possible it has gotten a little too much sunlight.

I feel sure your second plant is in the palm family but not sure of what kind as there are many that start out like this. I believe your friend might have some idea of the type of palm or maybe you could get a photo of the mother plant from your friend.
I think the first one is a heart-leafed philodendron
