We have a painting, but do not know anything about it. We were told it might be a Thomas Kincaid.
Please could you help?

Truthfully this is not much information to go on at all. If you think it is a Thomas Kincaid painting it should be signed by the artist. Normally famous artists will always sign their work. However, it could look like a Thomas Kincaid painting and it is just a replica that a person painted and sold off. If you can't find any signature on the painting take it to an art gallery in your area and have them look at it. They will be able to tell you if this is actually a Thomas Kincaid painting or not. Other than this it is not really possible to help out with the little information you have given us and the lack of a signature on the painting.
Kincaid pieces are almost always signed. This does not fit the Kincaid mold so to speak. The colors are not like his and the theme is too general.
It looks like there may be a signature in the lower left corner of the piece. Perhaps a magnifying glass will bring it up to see if it is one.
Are you sure it is a painting or is it a print?
What does the back look like?
How big is it?
How long have you had it?
Maybe with more info, I can help you figure it out. Thanks!
