I am looking for info on this large chest. It is 44" tall, 52" wide, and 22" deep. Also it is very heavy. If anyone could help it would be great, thanks.

Can you please show the insides--with close ups to the joining and hardware and offer any history on it you know? Like how long you have had it? What is the back made of? Are there any markings?
There are so many reproductions of old pieces that are made to look old that without more info it will be impossible to give you any information of value.
Looking forward to learning more! Thanks for sharing!
Normally the manufacture marking can be found on the inside, back, or bottom of the chest. In order to start searching it is best to know who has made this. This gives us a starting point and makes it easier to identify the company. If you are having issues finding this information it is best to seek the help of an antique furniture dealer in your area.
Looks like an interesting chest but without more information it would be very difficult to answer even one of your question.
If you answer Pghgirl with several more pictures and maybe some type of marking, I feel sure someone can at least supply a few answers.
Other than that you might take several good pictures of inside - doors open - any markings, sides, back, and add any information that you have about the chest as well as your location someone on this site may be able to help you.
