I found a lump on my dog's side by his armpit. It's red, hard, and tender to the touch. He is heathy, plays, eats, and drinks. He is a 6 year old German Shepherd Rottweiler mix.

My dog had these lumps on her too and she was the same breed as your dog. The ones on my dog had to be removed and this was good. In the end the growths were so bad that she had cancer and went blind and had to be put to sleep. I would not play around with this at all. It is best to see a vet and have them removed.
Most lumps on dogs are not harmful. However, they need to be checked out by a vet.
You would want a Vet to look at this, to be on the safe side!
