There are a few other facts but the main point seems that all paintings (all materials, all sizes) are 'copies' as it seems (at least one of the original paintings hangs in the Scottish National Portrait Gallery.

It seems the artist's real name was Samuel Cousins but was changed to Sir Thomas Lawrence.
History:
"The portrait of seven year old Charles William Lambton was painted for the subject's father by Sir Thomas Lawrence for the price of 600 guineas (about $57,000 in 2014) and was completed in 1825."
